Lvs2Cruise2 Posted November 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2010 Hi all.. have a cruise planned in April on Coral Princess that departs from Acapulco. Does anyone know how far the pier is from the airport? Any help is greatly appreciated!
CruiserBruce Posted November 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2010 It is a fair ways- maybe an hour. Way south of the city. Might be a good time to use ship's transfers.
Lvs2Cruise2 Posted November 2, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted November 2, 2010 Thanks! Sounds like too expensive of a cab ride!
CruiserBruce Posted November 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2010 Are you arriving the day of the cruise? Usually not recommended. Too many possible problems. If you flight in a day early, get a hotel with airport transport. Then maybe a cab to the dock.
Lvs2Cruise2 Posted November 2, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted November 2, 2010 I know it's risky to fly in the same day of the cruise... however, we are flying halfway the day before (from Cleveland to Houston).. then flying to Acapulco the day of the cruise from Houston. It's the best I could do I have to work the day before the cruise and CANNOT get out of it. So I figure if we get halfway there it's better than nothing. I also took out insurance on the cruise AND the flight just in case. Wish I could leave the day before alltogether but there's only 1 flight from Houston to Acapulco. cruiserbryce Posted November 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2010 another reason the ship transfers would be good is that they wont leave without you...Acapulco was packed when we were there...it seems that for a ways around the terminal the congerstion is pretty extreme

I was able to move my work schedule around and we are flying in a day early for this cruise. I also booked hotel and transfers from the cruiseline because I got a tad nervous about Acapulco. Now I can go "worry free"! Thanks again for all the advice!
CruiserBruce Posted November 14, 2010 #8 Share Posted November 14, 2010 That is good news. Hate to have a serious investment like a vacation cruise cloudied by worry. Have a great time!
