Rainy Weather? Change cruise path?

I am a first time cruiser, sailing on the Victory to the Western Caribbean on 2/27/05. I just checked the weather for our ports of call, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios. I am a bit disappointed because I see that it is supposed to rain in all three ports from Sunday - Wed. I thought this was the dry season!! Any chance if the weather is bad that the ship will change course? I have been looking forward to this for so long I dont want it to be ruined by bad weather!

A lot of the times, the rains only last a few minutes, don't let the weather dampen your spirits. Go and have a wonderful time, remember, you are on a cruise. :D

Typically it will rain *every* day, but as the prior poster correctly stated, only for a few minutes. Nothing to worry about.

 

On sea days, the Captain can steer around most isolated unfavorable weather.

I just returned from the Imagination Western Caribbean and the forecast reported rain, and with the exception of a (literally) 2-minute shower in Ocho Rios, it was GORGEOUS!

No, the ship will not change course if it rains.

It is the tropics and therefore small showers are likely to pop up everyday from around 11 to 3, but will be short. On sea days the ship will make small course corrections to dodge most of the showers that may be present so as not to ruin the pool time.

The forecast could also change completely between today and Sunday. I wouldn't worry about it.
