Labadee Damage from Tomas

Is there any info out there if Labadee received any damage from the storm. I know it went west of there but was wondering if there was any damage from the outerbands or rain.

On Labadee, there's not that much to get damaged! From all accounts, Haiti "dodged the bullet" on this one, thank goodness...those poor people have been thru enough!

RCI just spent $55 million to make improvements on Labadee.

 

I would hardly call that not much to get damaged.

I heard on weather channel that Cap Hatien (spelling is not my good suit :) ) got hit as hardest and Labadee is not that far from there.

I believe Cb at Sea meant that there was nothing at Labadee likely to be damaged.

 

I agree. Most of the recent investment was in constructing the new dock, which certainly would have been built hurricane-safe. At least from a middling hurricane like Tomas.

Just off the Oasis yesterday and one of the reasons we booked western was labordee...oh well, we will wait for the Allure in 2012. Still had a GREAT TIME! :)
