ebcruiser Posted November 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2010 I was wondering if there are any past, present or future brides out who has or will be getting married on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship. Please tell me your experience.
Venusleo1 Posted November 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2010 ebcruiser I know that you're read my Grandeur review, but for anyone else who comes across this post, I was married on Grandeur of the Seas 10-28-10 and have posted a review on these boards but if anyone has any questions I'd be happy to try to be of some assistance. Denise2000 Posted November 19, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2010 Congratulations ebcruiser on your upcoming wedding and Venusle01 OMG what a lovely wedding you had recently. That really help me decide on rather to do shipboard or beach. My wedding date is May 4,2011, cruise ship will be Monarch of the Sea. I'm curious to find out what the lounges and chapel looks like. Do anyone have an idea of how I can access this information?
Venusleo1 Posted November 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2010 Denise2000 Monarch isnt going to have a chapel, as it's one of the smaller class ships just like mine was on Grandeur. I believe that only Voyager class and above have a wedding chapel. You can get a good idea of what the rooms will look like by just taking a virtual tour on royal caribbeans website, here is a link to a virtual tour of the monarch: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/multimedia/virtualTour/ship.do?shipClassCode=SS and here is a link to the deck plans on the monarch: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/ship/decks/deck/home.do;jsessionid=0000x2O5H8YRapsEi7eNUdwlTDj:13hldcill?shipCode=MN&shipProfile=1376 Also, Royal Rommance Aka The Wedding Experience sent me an e-mail of some photos of the different venues that were available, so you can always ask your consulatant to e-mail those over to you. The nightclub in the very back of the ship is probably going to have a layout very simmilar to the lounge that I had for my ceremony and reception. (which by the way I loved!) Boleros is nice but its not private and you will have people walking through it to get from one side of the ship to the other. Whereas the nighclub they will place a sign out front that says the space is reserved for a private party.
