Elizanessie Posted November 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2010 Would you prefer to be cruising or be on land when the Royal Wedding takes place next year? Had you been thinking about booking a cruise for April but now decided you would prefer to stay on land so you can be glued to the TV or perhaps be down in London for the big day? jacari_ja Posted November 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2010 I have a cruise booked for March so I will be at home when this happens. I work on Fridays so I will be taping it and will watch the proceedings at leisure. Mary

Albert Ross Posted December 5, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 5, 2010 Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. will air the royal nuptials of HRH Prince William of Wales, KG and Catherine ‘Kate’ Middleton live across all 40 ships in the fleet on 29 April, 2011. Nearly 90,000 British, Irish and international guests are guaranteed not to miss out on the Royal Wedding when sailing on Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises. The entire ceremony will be broadcast live from Westminster Abbey to a number of venues throughout each Royal family ship, as well as on stateroom televisions. “This is the first major Royal wedding for the British people in decades, and a very good reason for a celebration on-board one of our ships,” said Dominic Paul, vice president and managing director RCL Cruise Ltd, UK and Ireland. “As soon as we knew the date, we started working to ensure our guests can relax in comfort and style whilst watching one of the most globally anticipated events of 2011”. For those ships departing from Southampton on 29 April, further special arrangements will be made. Passengers boarding Celebrity Cruises’ Eclipse can take a seat in the Theatre to watch the ceremony before the ship sets sail on a 4-night Cork cruise. On Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas, sailing on 27 April to Paris (Le Harve), the wedding will be shown in Studio B, the Pyramid Lounge and the 1,320 seat Alhambra Theatre during the 3-night sailing to Paris. On both ships, plans include champagne, flags and a festive atmosphere to support the celebrations taking place around Westminster Abbey and on The Mall in London. Greghouseo Posted December 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 7, 2010 Am contemplating going on the 4 nighter on the Vision of the Seas 29th Apr to 3rd May. Cost is so fantastic that I can't resist it. £299pp inc flight from Copenhagen to London including gratuities and $75 cabin on board spend. englishgal Posted January 19, 2011 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2011 We will be on P&O Arcadia, so am certainly hoping that they show it on board! I will be so very disappointed if not. May even ring and ask what their plans are!
