Cruising During Winter Break and Kids

Ok I know this topic has been raised in the past. But after we booked our Christmas 2011 Celebrity cruise to NZ , it hadn't struck me that North Americans would be taking their kids all the way there for a cruise and for sure didn't fully consider that local NZers (sorry) have their holidays and would be taking a cruise too. I love kids dont get me wrong, have 3 of my own and grandchildren on the way but.....this cruise is to celebrate our 35th anniversary. So for those who have been on this cruise over Christmas/New Years, should we expect tons of children on board?

Can't tell you what the crowds will be like on your forthcoming cruise, all I can advise is the Australian schools break up anytime from early December and do not resume until round 31 Jan-1 Feb 2011. I would think that the NZ school hols would be similar.

On the Celebrity cruises the last Summer season they were here, there were a few hundred children onboard e.g. 3-500. It is the peak holiday season as with your Summer breaks, so lots of families with children are likely to be onboard.

And being our summer, every man and his dog, with his wife n kids will be dive bombing and yahooing in the pool. (as you do :D) so not only will it be "kids to the power of max" everywhere, but noisy exuberant ones also!!!! :)
