Shuttle from Downtown Miami to port

I just got a room for $55 at Courtyard in Downtown Miami. I was disappointed that they didn't have a free shuttle to the port, but I feel like I got such a good deal, I can work that cost into my budget. Has anyone ever stayed at the Courtyard? I've called and gotten two different answers about the shuttle, I know it is $5.00 pp, but one person told me kids were free and one person on another day told me they weren't. Anyone know?

May 2003 our family stayed at the Days Inn (Airport) & they provided free shuttle service to the port. We booked way ahead of time & got our room for about the same as your paying now. Hope this helped!

a taxi should costs under 20 bucks for the cab--not per person.
