Luckyroot Posted December 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2010 We're looking at the train from Anchorage to Whittier, with arrival at 12:05pm. Want to take a PWS day cruise that departs at 12:30. Will Princess be accepting luggage so that we can drop our luggage off and still make it to the day cruise (without checking in for the cruise)? I want to be sure we'll have enough time AND the ability to drop our luggage and still make the day cruise before buying our excursion. The day cruise returns to the dock at 5:30 - I assume still enough time to check in and get onboard before ship departs at 8:30 without panicking? Budget Queen Posted December 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2010 Princess, in the past, got the luggage right from the baggage car. You also have the option to have the boat vendor store your bags. The rail road is right next to the cruiseship as well. Many people do this, there is no issue with it, if you wish to take advantage of this excellent tour.

lazarru Posted December 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 12, 2010 Agree with BQ, you check before you get on the train and don't need to worry about anything. We did in July, after PWS was over walked right onto ship, had plenty of time to get to room, everything was already there and waiting for us. Not that is matters but actually they don't put the luggage on the train, they truck the luggage down, I guess for them it's cheaper then adding another rail car.
