Serenade specialty restaurant questions

On another thread it was posted that muster on Adventure was at 6 and first seating dining was at 6:30 on embarkation day. If that is also true for Serenade, then will the specialty restaurants be open at 6:30 on embarkation day? Hoping to use my BOGO D+ coupon but not interested in eating late. So when will Chops probably be available that first night, please?

From what I can recall muster is held before the ship leaves dock at 8:30 Pm.

Just check when you get on board. The muster drills are held all over the ship,including the restaurants according to what room section your in.

The earliest we were able to book Chops on the first night of our upcoming Serenade cruise was 8:30. We don't mind eating at that time and wanted to take advantage of the BOGO.

Just checked my Cruise Compass from our Dec 11-18 Serenade cruise.

 

On the first day, it was

 

6:00 - Main Seating, MDR

6:00 - 9:30 - My Time Dining, MDR

 

8:00 - Muster Drill

 

8:30 - Sailaway

 

8:30 - 10:00 - Chops Grille & Portofino

 

8:45 - Second Seating, MDR

 

Windjammer was open 11:30 - 7:30 and 8:45 - 10:00, Seaview Cafe 9:30 - 1:30 am

When we were on Serenade in Oct. the earliest we could get a res. for Portofino was 8;30...we weren't thrilled about eating that late but wanted to use our coupon...it worked out fine..and for once we were actually "hungry" at dinner time...

The Specialty Restaurants are used as Muster Stations on the Serenade so if you are going to eat there on the first evening I would ask for new silverware and glasses :eek:

Never thought of that, great point! I will for sure be asking for them to do that when we are on Serenade in Feb. since our reservation is at 8:30.
