sb1041 Posted January 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2011 We will be going to St. Marteen in 2 weeks. Is it necessary to take passports with us when we leave the ship?
gtaylor Posted January 3, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2011 It's not required, as far as I can determine, but we always carry a photocopy of our passport 'front' page with us, as well as a driver's license and, of course, if we're on a cruise, our cruise card. gary
tomprice Posted January 3, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2011 There is no border crossing between the French and Dutch sides where you must pass immigration. But, miss the ship, you'll need a passport to fly out.

I also have a photo copy at my office so if run into a jam some one from home can fax this document to where ever I am. Enjoy

Enjoy Each trip I e-mail a scan of my passport and travel documents to a cloud-based e-mail account for the same reason. gary
