inverted1 Posted January 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2011 I noticed that Celebrity will not automatically charge your credit card for the final payment; you must call in and authorize the charge for this. -If you do not make this payment, they have the right to cancel your cruise: ("Celebrity reserves the right to cancel this reservation if payment is not received by the final payment date. For your protection, Celebrity Cruises will not process this charge without your authorization.") So if you do not make the final payment....and then end up cancelling a day or 2 after the final payment due date has passed...will you receive your entire deposit back? No. Not at all. That had become non-refundable THE DAY final payment was due. If you delay final payment and the cruise line deep-six your booking a couple of days later, it's ALL gone ( OBCs, deposit, ALL ) Not a rule to play around with.... Crazy Cruzer Posted January 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2011 ...So if you do not make the final payment....and then end up cancelling a day or 2 after the final payment due date has passed...will you receive your entire deposit back? Seems like a very interesting question. I'm guessing no one here has really attempted that to find out what really happens. Perhaps you could try this for the rest of us and report back!
