NCL Gem - November 6, 2011 (NYC to Bahamas)

We just changed our booking from November 20 to November 6, still sailing on NCL Gem from NYC to the Bahamas. Although it is still over nine months away, at least it is now two weeks closer. :)

It's been a few months since our last roll-call post so I thought I'd dust it off to see if anyone else will be with us on the Gem for the November 6th cruise.

When we booked this cruise, it was not on our radar that marriage equality would become a reality in NY this year. But now that it has and we will be having a fall wedding, this cruise has become our honeymoon! :)

We had our wedding on September 3rd. In two months, we were able to pull together a ceremony and reception for 90 guests. We had briefly thought about a small ceremony with just the two of us (and maybe our sisters), but we made the decision to have a more elaborate celebration to include friends and family. It was great! :)

 

But, it was also exhausting, and the actual evening of our wedding seemed to go by so quickly. We are looking forward to the relaxing getaway.
