Flying Delta Biz to San Juan. Delta states departure in terminal 4 but said we should check in for biz class in terminal 2, enjoy the skyclub and take the tram to terminal 4

Does anyone have any experience with the tram and doing this?

Thanks

What they are referring to is the dedicated SkyPriority checkin at T2. If you check-in there, you would have two different routes to your flight out of T4.

1) You could use the security screening at T2, go airside, use the T2 SkyClub, and then take the airside bus shuttle to the T4 gates.

2) You could finish check-in at T2, make your way over to the AirTrain stop for T2/T3, take the AirTrain to T4, use the lounge (Oasis lounge, which is outside security), then go through security to your gate.

The process is a bit more difficult for the second option (using the AirTrain), but the Oasis lounge is nicer (IMO) than the JFK SkyClubs. The first option will involve you taking stairs up and down to/from the bus on the tarmac, which may be a consideration. The AirTrain route uses elevators.

See THIS LINK for a map of the DL complex at JFK to see what I mean.
