Cas w2-g?

Here's a quick question for all you CAS experts out there. Will they send me a W2-G? I am trying to remember what paperwork they gave me on the ship (and what I did with it). I can't even remember if I had them take out taxes or not. My brain just isn't what it used to be!

No, they won't automatically send you another one. You received one when you won right in the casino. If you need an additional copy, call CAS and they will send you one. I know I usually lose mine, but was lucky enough to find mine from Dec!

If you go to the above link, you can fill out a Win/Loss Statement Request. The second page of that pdf has FAQs where one says that if you just want the W2G then you should email NCL at winloss@ncl.com.

Wow.. you lucky lucky people that have to worry about this problem.. LOL. It has been so many years since we have gotten any payout jackpot with NCL that I have forgotten what the paperwork even looks like. 8-)

I hear ya Terry.. Won a hand pay in December, first one in years, and I was so shocked I just sat there dumbfounded for a bit lol.. But then you gather your won/loss statements for the year to go up against the W-2g and all that joy just disappears.. Hate seeing it all in print...

Darn, I was afraid you would say that. I guess I put it in a safe place, but since I spent the afternoon looking in every safe place I could think of, it looks like I will be requesting a new one.

It was my only handpay of 2010, and I was also dumbfounded when it happened. It got even funnier because I never carry my license on the ship, and unbeknownst to me DH was sleeping on our balcony, so I was running around like a crazy woman trying to locate him to get my license. I finally ran all the way to our suite to get it and woke him out of a sound sleep with my hooting and hollering. He wasn't annoyed for long!

I have been looking at all my Win/Loss statements for the year from land based casinos, and let's just say I won't have any problem at all offsetting this win :o

Thanks for the information.

  • 1 month later...

I requested a W2-G be either emailed or faxed to me. I requested this on 4/1/11. Does anyone have any experience on how long this will take till I receive it? That is the only document I need to complete my 2010 taxes. Thanks.
