Transport into the town

Is it the norm for there to be buses at the dockside to take you into the city / town, or are you expected to make your own way once off the ship?

1, Buses (some charge)

2, Taxis.

3, Walk, as some ports are near the city/town.

Funchal - No bus, 15 minute walk or taxi

Agadir - Don't think there's a bus, taxi. Too far to walk, it's miles away.

Lanzarote - Shuttle bus, book and pay in advance, worth it. Or taxi.

Tenerife - Don't need one, fairly close to town. 10-15 minute walk

Gran Canaria - Don't need one, very close to town. 10 minute walk

La Palma - free bus to port entrance. Very close to town. 10 minute walk

Carol is doing Escape to the Med - that's the one I fancy as they are going to Sicily and Sardinia, which we should have gone to in September:(

Sorry should have said, yes Escape to the Med taking in

Palma Trapani Naples Olbia Toulon Barcelona. Only ever been on one cruise and they had laid on free shuttle buses when the town was not to near. Has anyone been to any of these places and have any info.
