Mariner kids program

Am I correct to assume the kids area will be open all day while in port so we can go on a shore excursion and leave the kids? Somewhere I read that they close for lunchtime so this will be a problem if we are gone for several hours.Thank you.

Here is the info from RCCL's website:

 

At Sea: 9 a.m. to noon, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

In Port: Thirty minutes prior to the first shore excursion to 5 p.m. or return of last shore excursion, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

 

So, it won't interfere with your short excursion. Happy sailing.

We are cruising w/kids 9,12,17 and planning excursions they will have fun on (no party boat for us). Depending on the ages of the kids and itinerary (we are w-ern carib) there might be alot of things the kids would really enjoy doing and would be fun for you too.

It sounds like RCCL is great about everyone having fun (kiddies included) mine are really looking forward to the kids club (17 yr old said he might not see us til it is time to go home) so either way you little ones will have fun and so will you
