Mexican Blankets

We will be on the Grandeur 4/9...going to Coz,where we have been many times.I just love those blankets...they make great cheap souvenirs.We will be in Costa Maya also.Does anyone know if the blankets are available there?

You will have no trouble finding blankets in any Mexican town. You are so right, they make wonderful gifts! Don't forget to get one or two for yourself!

 

You will love Mexico, it is one of my favorite spots in the whole world! The people are wonderful!

We were in Cozumel in February and bought some of those blankets...very nice selection. We bought 6 of them at 3 for $12. I thought it was a great price and I am not very good a bargaining with them, I always end up sympathetic (especially when children are there too), oh well. Everyone we gave them to loves them!

Are blankets available in Mexico? That would be like going to Vegas and asking if there are any casinos. :)

 

You'll have plenty to choose from. Don't forget that the asking price is always more than you should pay..have fun bargaining.

I found that prices in Costa Maya were higher than Cozumel on everything, including blankets.

Be very careful when you buy your blankets. I never realized it until one time a guy was selling them for either $5 or $15. I asked what the difference was and he showed me. The $5 balket was not weaved as tight nor did it have as much material in it. I went ahead and bought the $5 blaket and it came apart shortly after coming home. You get what you pay for!!

Are simlar blankets available in St. Thomas?
