Allure - What's Included and What's Not

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody! My boyfriend and I are sailing the Allure in March (a little over a month away) and I'm sooooo excited. I was wondering if we could start a "what's included and what's not" on Allure, along with the fees. I'm sure that I'm going to end up spending a lot on this cruise, but would love to start day dreaming.

To my knowledge here's a list of the "included" places to eat:

MDR ($15 for a Chop's Grill Steak)

Park Cafe

Donut Shop

Hot Dog House

Windjammer

Wipe Out Cafe

Sorrento's Pizza

Cafe Promenade

Extra fees for Food:

Rita Cantina's $7.95

Johnny Rockets $4.95 lunch/dinner and free for breakfast

Speciality Restaurants (Chops$25, 150 Central Park$35, Samba$25, Izumi

Cupcakes/Ice Cream

Starbucks

Vitality

A complete list of the dining venues below. I see that you have cruised on Carnival and it's about the same for soft drinks, alcohol, casino, photos, excursions, etc. Basically it boils down to more options on the Allure over other cruise ships and lines. You can get free ice cream or pay for a premium brand. Same with other things. You don't have to spend any money for the extras but the options are there. There are just as many no charge dining options on the Oasis class as there are other ships and lines.

Thanks, Cruisingator2. Yup, it seems to me that there's probably the free soft serve near the pool, like on Carnival, and then the speciality ice cream which is for a fee. I was actually surprised that the Allure has so much "included" food. And, I've only ever been on "older" Carnival ships without speciality restaurants so its all new to me! I'm just excited to go on a new ship.

Does anyone know the story about the gym/spa? Is it true that the gym is a fee, or is that to use the sauna/steam room? Anyone use it and feel its worth it?

Cruisingator thanks so much for the info. We have only cruised Carnival and DH doesn't want to try RCCL due to having to pay extra for everything. I really want to take the kids on the Allure summer 2013 and your info will help to sway DH. IMHO those extra prices are really not much compared to dinning at even the cheapest places at home. After reading Trainman's live on the Allure I especially want to try Samba.
