baby sitting ? on Oasis

I just realized that baby sitting on the Oasis was for children 1yr and older. When we travel, our youngest will be 11 months, 2 wks and 5 days. Are they really strict on this? Although I'm not sure if we'll use it, I'd like to have the option to go to the casino, catch a show, or have a drink with my husband in the evenings after the little ones have gone to bed.

Dropping off my 1 yr old at a "daycare" type environment at 8pm at night is not something I or the people working in that environment would want. I guess I'll have to think this through, maybe change my dates.

From what I understand (we are going on Oasis in March with our then 16 month old) at night in the nursery, they have storytime and lullabiies and they do have cribs for the kids to sleep in. Is it ideal? No, probably not. Ideal would be putting the kids to be at their normal time in the room but my husband and I do want to enjoy a couple shows, etc. so we will consider this option.

I am going to check the place out on the first day and see what I think. If I don't feel comfortable with it, then we will make alternate plans.

My LO is pretty flexible when it comes to things. Although we like keeping him on a schedule as much as we can, if he stays up late one night, etc., it isn't the end of the world. Meaning, if he goes into the nursery and ends up playing until 10:00pm, he will bounce back.

When do you sail? If it is after me, I will be happy to report back!!:)

You're sailing before me...just a few weeks left for you...so jealous!!! I'm not really concerned about the quality of care because I know that RCI offers wonderful children's facilities. I'm more concerned with how my kids are at bedtime. I just think as the week begins, they get comfortable taking naps and being in the cabin and it would be easier for them to settle down at night if I put them to bed, following as close to a normal routine as possible, and then have someone come in to watch them. That's what we've done in the past with my older girls and it's worked well. I'd love to read your thoughts after your trip.
