I bought and used the Entertainment book for $10 + $5 shipping. It was used for 2 restaurants and the Capliano Suspension Bridge. I thought it was well worth the $ spent.

I just ordered my entertainment book for vancouver, now there only 9.99, I would imagine if we only use it for the above mentioned restereraunt ( which seems nice from there website) and for the Suspension Bridge tickets, taht it will be quite a savings. Does anyone have any info on a Ferry to Victoria??

There are a number of threads on Victoria, and I'm a big fan of it. The majority opinion here is that Victoria needs to be an overnight trip, but--some people don't have that option. Don't know what to say.

Generally speaking, Butchart Gardens and the Inner Harbour are the places to visit.

Which method are you thinking of taking to reach Victoria - bus from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria will take about 3 hours each way - so if you catch the first ferry at 7:AM and the last one back at 9:PM you will have a very long day.

If driving - one or two sailing waits are common in the summer - particularily on the weekends - it is about $45.00 each way for the car + $10.00 each way for each passengers - you can reserve your car space for another $15.00 each way. In addition BC Ferries was just granted approval for a fuel surcharge of I think 5% effective in late July. Driving in Victoria is a challenge unless you plan on parking and walking through the city (recommended)

While the trip through Active Pass is spendid and you could be catching a sunset on the return - it makes for a long day.

It might be better to take a one day escorted bus tour from Vancouver - most of these will include the Buchart gardens in them.

Hope this helps and that some of the Victorites on these boards will add there two cents worth.

Cheers

Dennis
