avandrie Posted February 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2011 This may be a silly question, but hopefully someone will indulge me :o On Carnival's site, there is a fare viewer that I've linked directly to: http://www.carnival.com/BookingEngine/FareViewer/# Every day I stroll in to see if my rate has gone down. In the past two weeks I have noticed that my "Past Guest" rate has stopped populating altogether. Does that mean they are no longer offering a Past Guest discount for my sailing? Is it even worth looking at anymore? I've checked the other ES rate and that rate hasn't been any better either - plus I need to be cabin specific this go around and with the ES rate, that won't work for me. The details I'm pulling are: Carnival Pride, 9/11/11 Sailing, 3 Guests, Past Guest, Virginia. Nobody is over 55. Thanks for any insight!
75nivek Posted February 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2011 You didn't say what category your room was, but when I checked just now using "Interior" the Past Guest Rate came up as 1,487. I check here twice a day, and have yet to see a decrease for my cruise, but I'll keep at it. ;)
flgojo Posted February 28, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2011 I think that is what it means. I check on my cruise and it used to show early saver and a past guest rate and now does not.
Aeeo Posted February 28, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2011 WOW! I must be using it wrong because the price on the fare finder is a lot higher then the current fare under find a cruise. I always have used Find A Cruise on Carnival.com Jay
serene56 Posted February 28, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2011 the fare viewer is giving you the total amount of cruise fare only for the amount of people you place in the box. if only putting 1 person-- the cruise fare will be of a single supplement. putting 2 people will give you the total amount of cruise fare only for those two people. Looking at cruise sites will list prices per person- will also include government taxes/ (the fare view does not)
