cruisemomof2 Posted March 9, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2011 I will be flying into Orlando at 11:30 am the day of departure on the Freedom of the Seas. I was planning on taking a shuttle service to the port. After reading some posts, I'm worried that I have made a big mistake with the flight. Should I eat the $300 in fees to change our flight to arrive one hour earlier or do you think I will be ok arriving at 11:30? Any suggestions on a 'fast' shuttle service as well? JohninDC Posted March 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2011 I would not pay $300 to arrive an hour earlier -- but would pay that to arrive a day earlier; the smart cruiser NEVER flies in the day of sailing. Did you buy trip insurance? I would pray that your flight is on time and travel with only carry-on luggage. Race from your flight to your pre-booked and waiting shuttle/car service and you should be fine - from MCO to PC is only a 45-55 minute drive (as long as there are no major traffic issues ). Good luck! :)
cruisemomof2 Posted March 9, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted March 9, 2011 I wish I had thought about that before booking the flight. We always drive and decided to fly this go round since the gas prices were getting so high. UGH!!!

Holy molly, you have more nerve then I could ever stand. I would never fly in the same day, and never that late, I would be a nervous wreck!! I don't think an hour would do much for me, but if I was going to spend the money to change the flight, I would arrive the day before. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck!
