Texan1636 Posted March 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2011 We sailed the Navigator on a short, 7-day Western Caribbean/Central American trip from March 12-19. This worked perfectly with our high school-age daughter's Spring Break. As you will be able to note from the information below, we do not have tremendous experience with luxury cruises. However, we do like to travel well, and we typically stay at the Four Seasons, Mandarin or Ritz Carlton, or a local equivalent, depending on the city. I can say that, so far, Regent has more than fulfilled our expectations for a luxury cruise experience. By the way, Captain McNeill was every bit as great as advertised, and we loved going on deck in each port to hear the bagpipe version of "Amazing Grace" as we sailed. The food and service on this trip and our 2010 Regent Baltic trip were everything we expected, also. Given the Spring Break timing at many American schools, there were a fair number of children and teens on this trip, but we found them to be extremely well-behaved and polite (as, hopefully, people found our daughter to be). A great experience, overall, and well worth the money we spent for two cabins. Due to itinerary, we're going to try a Seabourn (Soujourn) Norwegian trip this summer, and we'll see how that compares. Hambagahle Posted March 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2011 Great that you had a good time... and that Capt McNeil was at the helm. We really loved our January Navigator caribbean cruise. Very high standards in spite of a totally full ship.
