Rhapsody and Sun in Cairns today

Rhapsody of the Seas and Pacific Sun are in Cairns today.

Nice to see ships docking at Trinity Wharf, instead of having to tender ashore at Yorkeys Knob.

Looks they have done a lot of work upgrading the terminal as well:)

Is there a date for bigger ships to get into the wharf? I have heard they have done lots of dredging there.

I certainly hope so.

The new work around the terminal looks great.

Unfortunately the problem with dredging is...

as fast as you dredge it out....

it fills up again:eek:

 

I seem to recall one cruise ship veering slightly off the channel and hitting her propeller.

They may have done some dredging, as there a lots of cruise ships booked to berth in cairns.

The Seven Seas Voyager docked at the Cairns Cruise Terminal about a month ago. It's a great facility in a very central location so you can walk off the ship and right into the centre of town.
