GUESTS ONBOARD PRINCESS CRUISES LOCAL FLEET need not worry about missing a second of AFL action after the cruise line signed a contract to broadcast the 2011 Australian Football League onboard Sun Princess and Dawn Princess voyages.

All 33 AFL games, including playoffs and finals will be screened on Sun and Dawn’s respective 28 square-metre Movies Under the Stars LED screens as well as inside passengers staterooms and on various other screens around the ships’ common areas.

33 games = 1 game per round (24 rounds) + 9 finals. So much for "not missing a second" if they're only showing 1 game per round. Stretching it a bit with the PR spin.

 

Still, it's better than no games at all, so who am I to complain?

That will not have come cheap.

I remember reading about the first Dawn Princess World Cruise,

and the passengers wanted to see the final game.

Princess arranged it for them ,

but I seem to recall it was reported that it cost Princess

something like $20,000 to watch it.:eek:

we are leaving sydney on the night of the first state of origin.... wonder if that will be on...

 

god one game a week would be enough, I don't want football on the muts all the time.... I really don't like that they have muts during the day ... it is so loud ...

Cruising New Zealand in Oct would certainly hope that the final of the rugby world cup in auckland would be shown somewher on board
