Bar Setup?

Recommended Posts

This will be my first Carnival cruise in a long time - certainly since I became legally allowed to drink liquor - so I'm wondering if Carnival has a bar setup service like NCL does. On NCL I can preorder bottles of whatever liquor I want (from their list) and it's waiting for me in my cabin when I board. Does Carnival have a similar option? Is there a price list available anywhere?

Thanks so much for the information!

BigDave, if Carnival is anything like NCL (and I'm guessing they are in this regard), you cannot order bottles of liquor after sailing, nor can you purchase liquor in port and bring it on board. Any liquor purchases you make in duty free or in port are held until the night before disembarkation and then you pick them up - presumably to pack them in your luggage.

Here's a link to the price list: http://www.zydecocruiser.com/menus/bv_liquor.htm

I called the number below today (10-13-2011) and ordered. Below are the prices of bottles I ask about. All of the bottles are 1 Liter except Patron 750ml. All orders need to be in by the 26th for our cruise. I ask today.

I have read that you can order bottles from Room Service. Same price as Bon Voyage. Only get charged tax when in port.

You actually can order from exactly the same list while on the ship. It's best to go through the Guest Services Desk as not all of the ships permit such orders to be placed through Room Service.

:)
