FlKittyKat Posted March 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2005 While celebrating our honeymoon, we will drop anchor in St. Thomas. I have been here a couple times (once took a trip to Trunk Bay and a day sail another time) but my soon-to-be-hubby has never been to the USVI. Does anyone have suggestions for an amazing adventure while in St. Thomas? I have searched the threads, but nothing really stands out as something special. Both of us are "part fish" and love the ocean, but I have to get in a bit of shopping as well. :p Thanks!
The Islander Posted March 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2005 Hello, Are you divers?? Perhaps an intro to dive class or if you are certified a ship wreck dive? --Islander http://www.*****
BroncosCruiser Posted April 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2005 We are also going to be stopping in St. Thomas on our honeymoon cruise. We went to St. Thomas a few years ago for a week, so we were looking for something different to do as well. I read the reviews on here and picked a local daysail. Most of the sailboats will only take a maximum of six people, you will be sailing instead of on a power boat, and they pick nice, out of the way locations around St. John to stop at. Usually the anchor, and you can snorkel or swim to the beach. Then you have lunch, and then anchor at a different sport on can snorkel some more. At least for us, this really summed up the idea of being on a tropical island -- on the water, very few people, snorkeling, beaches etc.
travelgirl913 Posted April 2, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2005 I would definitely go to St. John. If time allows it for you-- we rented a car for the day and drove to different beaches. Most of the beaches we were the only ones there. It was wonderful.
watchdiva Posted April 6, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2005 Definitely do a day sail - my DH and I are "honeymooners" of sorts when we cruise (married 36 years, LOL!) and a daysail was one of the most romantic things we've ever done! Max 6 people on the sail. Also, you can rent the entire boat for approx $600 if you want to be truly "alone"..... Since the sail returns approximately 4 PM, you'd still have a little time to shop!
