Falmouth

Just returned from the 04-10-2011 western route and have some info on Falmouth.

Port is very much 'in progress' and many buildings still under-construction. We walked around the dock area, but didn't go into town. Talked with several people that ventured in, but not too many comments about the entire area.

Thanks for posting your pictures and the info on Falmouth. Would love to see Cruise Compasses from the Western itinerary now that Allure is going to Falmouth.

Do you recommend booking an excursion somewhere else in Jamaica or staying on the ship?

How was the rest of the cruise?

Overall very, very nice. I'll write more later, but you really need to 'plan' out the week to make sure you experience as much as possible. And, there's a lot to experience!

 

Would love to see Cruise Compasses from the Western itinerary now that Allure is going to Falmouth.

I hope to have them ready to share by tomorrow night. Back to work in the morning and I'll scan them when I get back home.

Everything was outside right now. Most interiors were roughed in, without any walls up yet.

Same excursions still seem to be offered. Just might take a little longer to get there and back. We've been to Jamaica several times and just walked off to see the port and then returned to enjoy the ship.

falmouth as of now is a mess. do not get off the ship just to see this port. plan activities outside of this area. we decided to stay on board and enjoy the ship.
