  1. I was shocked when I checked my Bank Of America RCI Credit Card account and saw that we had already recevied our refund for our May 27 Explorer Cruise. We cancelled and requested the refund on April 26th after spending a week or so considering if we should take the FCC or request a refund after the announcement that our cruise was cancelled. This was a graduation present for our daughter who graduated college on May 16. It was a once in a lifetime cruise for us. We searched for a replacement cruise and when we couldn't fimd anything that worked we decided to cancel and request
  2. When our May 27th cruise was cancelled we were offered a refund or to apply the purchases to a future cruise for a 125% credit. We anticipated the cancellation so we had already cancelled all of our purchases. The refund back to our cc was done within a couple of weeks.
  3. I appreciated your posting. I realize the ships have been mostly staying at sea and I was surprised so many were in port at the same time. I would have guessed they would stagger them more for cruise ship distancing. I guess not.
  4. Thanks for posting. Seems busy there. Just restocking or for some other reason?
  5. When you request a refund do you get the insurance costs refunded. If you opt for a FCC does the insurance carry over. How is the cruise RCI insurance handled when RCI cancels.
  6. We're booked on the May 27 sailing on Explorer out of Rome. Somebody on our roll call just posted this from her daughter who is crew on the Explorer. Not sure what the plan is for our sailing however, we won't be on an Amped up ship if it does sail.
  7. Small packets of Woolite or a Tide to wash quick drying tshirts and underwear. Rarely use them but nice to have in case of a spill or extended stay.
  8. I don’t know what authority we can quote on this but the first come first serve option described seems exceptionally odd particularly for cruises that plan every detail. it would seem like the ship would need to know if it were going to dock or tender. Are the cozt of docking and tendering the same? It seems like tendering boats back and forth for 10-12 hours would cost more than sitting in the dock and the ships would race to get their first. I’ll see in May when we’re supposed to be the first ship to arrive but we’re scheduled to tender.
  9. What site are you using? I have used CruiseTT in the past however, it doesn't seem to be updated.
  10. I've been trying to schedule tours with The Travel Insiders for our port stops in Greece. We're having a hard time hearing back from them. I suspect that they might be on holiday however, I'm not sure. They come very highly recommended and we'd like to book with them. We'd appreciate feedback from others who have booked with them as well as recommendations for other tour operators if they continue to be non-responsive. We'll be in Santorini, Mykonos and Athens on the Explorer of the Seas in May. Thanks
  11. Is that correct? There two cruises out of Rome in early and mid-May before that on the schedule. we’re booked on the May 27 sailing and don’t want to be the first scheduled out of dry dock.
