Booking cruise with Celebrity or TA

Is there an advantage to booking with Celebrity directly or while on board? Thanks.

Have rec'd obc and cabin upgrade when we booked while on board. Always bookd further cruise while on board.

While you're on board, you can either book the next cruise you want and get reduced deposit ($100 pp), OBC, and upgrades on certain types of rooms.

 

Or, get a Passages Certificate which is a reduced deposit ($100 pp) for use at a future time. You also get an OBC with that, but not room upgrades.The deposit is not refundable should you not use it or cancel.

 

We did a PC this last time on the Eclipse. When we got home and figured out when/where we wanted to go, I called Celebrity, booked my upcoming cruise, then transferred it to my TA.

 

Will for sure either book on board next time or at least do another Certificate.
