Beaches in Neice

Hello everyone, we will be sailing on BOS in early August. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 15 = boy and 8 = girl. We have cruised before and our preference is to explore on our own - don't really do tours. This will be our first time cruising Europe.

That said....Our first port is Villefranche. I want to take it easy and just do a day at the beach and some walking around the town. From what little I have read thus far I think I prefer a private beach for convienance and comfort (i.e. easy access to bathrooms/changing area, food if need be, umbrella's and chairs, etc - cuz of the kids). Any suggestions? favorite areas/beaches you would recommend? Thanks in advance

Villefranche is an entirely public beach, isn't it? Are there even any chair rentals there? I think you will have to go to Nice or Cap Ferrat for that. Admittedly, I haven't been there for about five years, so perhaps I am not remembering correctly.

Thanks for the link. Yes we are aware the beaches are topless and its not a concern for us. Was just hoping someone could suggest their fav private beach in Nice. Thx.

Google "private beaches in Nice or Villfranche"

hello

for living here this is what i recommand you

Villefranche as a private beach on the other side of the bay the name is: " plage de Passable" it's small very known and you better get there early if you want room

in St Jean cap Ferrat you also have "paloma beach" as private beach

Nice : lot of private beaches : but don't go on the one near the downtown area : very very crowdy and dirty

go farest almost near the Radisson hotel . Beaches are a lot of nicer, clean and quiet

Cannes and Juan les pins : it's far away Unless you got a rental car, you won't have time ( heavy traffic in summer ) to go and and come back

now my sister loves beaches and she find a new one just after Nice in ST Laurent du Var it's a private beach with play for kids and teens the name is " Blue Beach" just after the commercial center " Cap 3000" ( a nice place for shopping or eating )

a private beach cost around 20 euros (it's the renting for the sunchair, umbrella , changing an and shower room)
