Carnival being sued in Charleston

I just caught the tail end of a news story about Carnival being sued in Charleston, SC. I did not hear the name of the group taking the action but it said something about trying to classify cruise ships as hotels. Sounds as though somebody is trying to collect taxes or fees. Any info about this action would be appreciated.

There are several groups trying to run Carnival out of town. They say that Carnival and the boat they floated into town on, stink.

Charleston is full of people who really do not want visitors of any kind at any time. Just try to build in the city.

Those people have no chance in hell of winning. Carnival probably gets a couple thousand law suits a month, we only hear of the crazy ones.

My theory is, if those people want to move out of Charleston, I will buy a house there! Beautiful city and $37 million dollars last year in tourism - cha-ching!
