The word "true" in this case is somewhat subjective and up for negotiation.

The passenger (victim) that the OP spoke to said many officials were contacted and were involved.

Bermuda police, Bermuda Ministry of Transportation and NCL says no report was made to any official.

 

So really the only thing that has been agreed to by all is someone was punched in the face by someone.

 

And of course the bigger lesson of never have your guard down even when on holidays in someplace you perceive as safer.
