Scuba Diving in Sorrento or Palma?

Husband would love to dive in the Med, does anyone have any experience doing this? I'm finding very little info on the internet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think the only place in the Med that I've heard about people diving is Malta. There's so much to see and do on the ground at most ports that I guess diving doesn't get much play.

 

I would imagine that Capri might be a good spot for that, and it's only a quick boat ride from Sorrento. Swimming certainly is popular at Capri, so I'd think that diving would be a possibility there as well.

There is an underwater archeology park in Baia, near Naples where you can dive to roman ruins. Closer than Sorrento and reachable with public transport.

I have never been but there is thread on the trip advisor forums.
