When does your account get charged?

We got back from our cruise Saturday. How many days does it take for the account to be charged to my credit card?

 

It's a mental thing, but I'd really like to pay it off as soon as possible :)

That's completely up to the financial institution that handles your credit card.

The cruiseline has already posted the charge in their accounting department.

It all depends on your bank. I returned last Thursday and on Saturday when I checked the Credit Card my total charge for the cruise was there but I still had temporary hold authorizations on the account for four different amounts.

Just checked now, Monday, and $239.95 in four different amounts is still on hold even though the over $900 total charge is listed.

My experience so far seems to be between 3-7 days after disembarking.
