Southbound Inside Passage-Port or Starboard?

If you are on a cruise in a balcony cabin heading south through Alaska's inside passage, any opinions on whether it would be better to have a cabin on the Port or Starboard side of the ship? Thanks.

Just finished a SB Inside Passage cruise on Island Princess with starboard balcony. Both sides of the ship see land most of the time, so no preference. On our cruise, all the whales had gotten the message to travel down the starboard side, so we felt very lucky. But next trip could be just the opposite. BobG

Not a huge difference but for what you are going to see during the day I would probably go with starboard. Some will argue that the port side is better for glacier viewing and the narration at the glaciers but if you really want to take in the glaciers you will want to be on deck to see it all.
