Hi CC friends.....I received this card in the mail today from Carnival inviting me on either the Carnival Dream or Carnival Splendor for VIP Casino cruise. It offers $400 casino cash, discounted rates and free drinks in Casino for two. The find print states a downpayment of $500 required but will be refunded inCasino cash on embarktion....anyone else get this offer. Sounds too good to be true.

It's not "too good to be true" - it's for real.

The $500 deposit only applies if you got the complementary cruise offer.

I booked the upcoming VIP cruise on the Carnival Miracle (through the casino club, which is where these offers come from), for about 30% off the current cruise fare (plus getting the $400 cash on board, and the other listed benefits).

I've got DCL cruises planned for the time of the Splendor / Dream cruises otherwise it would be tempting to go on the dream again (loved that ship).

The offers are legit - it's based on your previous casino play.

We received a card for both of the cruise offers. The cruise on the Miracle is actually sailing the week before we already booked the Legend so Hubby called Carnival Player's Club and they gave him $150 casino cash for our upcoming Legend cruise. You never know unless you ask. Would love to have the $400 but since we already had a cruise booked, we're certainly happy with $150.

We are in the process to decide if we want to do the Dream deal from the players club. We have till Aug 23 to call and book. We were not going to do a cruise till Jan but this is a pretty good deal. Great price on the balcony, free drinks in the casino, good amout of casino cash. Now this would be good milestone perks for every cruise. We didn't jump on the Miracle out of NY deal, were now glad this one is alot more casino cash

My PVP called and asked if I had gotten the offer. I told here that the first I had heard of it. She told me almost everyone she called and who were qualified for the offer hadn't gotten it. She was going to check and find out what was going on. Haven't heard back yet. The offer has expired.

Called today and it is a pretty good deal but it was still$725 per person for a balcony, which in itself is not so bad but we have airfare from Nova Scotia Canada and that will run us $1600. We are booked on the Magic for a back to back April, so I guess we will have to wait for that one. They did put me on the list for a $150 cash for that cruise. Maybe I will win the lottery between now and August 23 because I would love to go on the Dream again.
