Van Dusen Botanical Garden before/after cruise?

As much as we'd like to go to Butchart Gardens, we just wont have the time and think that VanDusen would better fit our schedule after we get off the ship in Vancouver.

 

Has anybody been to VanDusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver before or after their cruise? How was it? We will be there first week of June next year.
