sailingawaysoon Posted August 3, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2011 Your cruise compass that is left in your stateroom each night will have a listing for the following days activities. There are a lot of different things to do from scrapbooking, to learning how to make a towel animal, drink making classes, wine tastings, shopping, eating, bingo, sitting by the pool, ping pong, cupcake decorating, cooking classes, etc etc etc. We enjoy the pool for several hours on sea days and then hit the casino a little before dinner. Enjoy your cruise.
Sequim88 Posted August 3, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2011 We have nine of them on our next cruise. It's why we like TAs. Seven in a row then two more after the first port stop. They do a pretty good job with the organized activities. Tend to have more art auctions then port intensive routes. More daytime games like trivia and poolside competitions. My wife enjpoyed the scrap book class. One activity we really enjoy is seeing movies in the movie theater during the day. Otherwise just relaxing in the Viking Crown lounge listening to iPod and reading or gazing at the ocean going by. Sea days also allow the luxury of sleeping in without feeling guilty about missing port time. Cruises with lots of sea days tend to have more active Roll Call groups so if not participating in one already (and signed up for Meet & Mingle which wil be on a sea day) do so. Many Roll Call groups will organize activities of their own such as pub and cabin crawls and/or a slot pull.
