Calliope Posted August 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2011 Current Oceania Cruise Line executive, Tim Rubacky, has announced that he will be leaving his position with Oceania and joining the start-up cruise line, The Great American Steamboat Co. On http://www.Steamboats.org he announced that management's, " goal is quite simple, to bring the AQ back and deliver an experience that is even warmer, richer, and friendlier than ever." I wish him the best of luck in his new position. During these trying economic times the challenge is great. Majestic America Line provided a cheapened product, and people like myself, with 100 plus cruises total on the AMERICAN QUEEN, MISSISSIPPI QUEEN, and DELTA QUEEN, left to find other vacation venues. Now, the difficult job is to bring all of us back and grow the numbers of people whom find steamboatin' to be the quintessential American cruise vacation.
