Wellington Dining Options?

Hey, you're coming to the culinary capital of New Zealand - you're going to be spoilt for choice! Just a note on the earlier post - the restaurant at the top of the Cable Car is closed at present and there's just an ice-cream and coffee kiosk, but Picnic in the rose garden of the Botanic Garden is open. Have a look at the restaurant listings on WellingtonNZ.com as a starting point. For something casual, Mac's Brewery on the waterfront near Te Papa is great for people watching and Nikau in Civic Square is cool as well. Floriditas on Cuba Street is always fun, fresh and seasonal. If you're looking for something more formal, Martin Bosley's Yacht Club Restaurant is a former Restaurant of the Year winner and if you're really into food, Zest Food Tours operate foodie tours of Wellington!
