C&A enrollment problem

I'm an existing C&A member, and have my membership number. I've never been able to enrol on the website, but as I hadn't been cruising, didn't do anything about it.

 

My surname is O'Something. This generally becomes OSomething on booking engines. Whoever entered my name initially obviously decided the O' was just an affectation, and changed my name to Something :rolleyes:. Because of this, my name on my new booking (the name on my passport) doesn't match the membership record, and the site keeps giving errors because of it.

 

The problem I have now is that I'm cruising in a few weeks, and want my booking associated with my C&A membership number. I've phoned the UK office 6 times already, and each time they've said they'll have to get someone in the States to update it, and it will take 48 hours. This has been going on for a fortnight, and it's still not right. If RC force the membership number onto the booking, then my travel agent can't do anything with it (he had to phone RC and get them to remove the number).

 

I realise it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it's driving me crazy that the US office apparently can't/won't sort this out - does anyone have any suggestions? Are they likely to be able to sort it out on board ship? I'd really like to go to the Welcome Back meeting, but as it stands I suspect I won't be invited due to this cock up.

I would suggest you call again tomorrow...ask to speak to someone on the Loyalty Team at the Weybridge Head Office...not reservations etc.

 

They are not a big team but they are a good team :D
