Scuba Girl - your information was great. We took a taxi over to Cable Beach and had a good time. The cab driver took us to Wyndham Casino to walk through to get to beach. He thought this was better and that we could walk on the beach wherever we wanted to go. The beach and pool area were packed but we expected that with Spring Break going on. I must say that the cab driver really wanted us to go to Paradise Island and was pushing us to go that way (I'm not sure why - do they get anything for bringing people to Paradise Island?) but we stuck to our guns and went to Cable and we were glad we did. It was a beautiful drive and a gorgeous day. Thanks for your help.

Glad you had a great time. Any day in Nassau is a gorgeous day in my book.

 

As for the taxi driver - he probably was due to be on the que at Atlantis and didn't want to miss his mark. Unions are crazy there. Atlantis can make or break a driver.

When you went to cable beach where did u sit. I have friends staying at the Radisson for spring break but i hear they wont let u sit there unless u are staying there..

We sat near the little lagoon area in front of the Wyndham. It wasn't the prettiest area but at least there were chairs there. The family got up and walked down the beach a little to do some snorkeling and we also used the pool at the Wyndham. We did buy drinks so that we felt like we were paying something. I was just looking at the pictures and I am still amazed at how pretty the ocean was.
