Map of Calica

Well, Calica isn't much more than a dot on any map, because there isn't anything there except the dock -- it's a gravel pit (literally). However, here is a site with maps of Riviera Maya, the general area:

http://www.cancunmap.com/riviera_maya_2.html

Calica is opposite Xcaret park (just across the pier's sound) at the top of the F map. Click at the bottom of the page to see an image of the other side. These maps are quite detailed with great info -- only $7.95 each, I think.

There is another map for Playa del Carmen, which is 4.5 miles north of the port, and the nearest 'tourist' city.

Calica may be a gravel pit BUT the surrounding area is chock full of things to see and do.

Water Parks: Xel Ha and Xcaret

Ruins: Tulum or further afield Coba or Chichen Itza

Shopping: Playa Del Carmen

Great Beaches: Akumal, Kantenah, the beach in Playa Del Carmen, Playa Moreno

BTW : the above mentioned map will give you the locations and a brief description of the above. Anyone renting a car will have a great day in this area (the hard part will be deciding what to do).
