Anybody recently flown China Airlines?

And I am talking about the Taiwanese owned China Airlines, not Air China.

 

Looking for recent passengers on China to corroborate other accounts I've heard that China has pulled their act together. We are looking at booking our own air for a 2006 cruise in Asia and the fares on CAL are VERY attractive for their first class cabin.

Whatever is going on inside the passenger cabins, I have to say that I don't think I'd fly China Airlines even if they paid me to do it. It's got nothing to do with the standard of cabin service. AFAIK, they are still a long way from getting all of their act together in the flight operations department.
