what is ship time

Recommended Posts

Ship time is the published time for events onboard. Shiptime almost always matches local time in the port of embarkation. Most itineraries will not change time during the cruise so ship time can differ from local time at any given port call. Some itineraries do change ship time during the cruise. If ship time is to change it will be published in the Funship Times and will be well announced.

You should always keep your watch on ship time. Do not rely on a cell phone as it may display local port time which might vary from ship time.

The Conquest changed time on itineraries during the winter but didn't change time when daylight saving time was in effect. Whether the Magic will do the same is an open question. The shorter itineraries which Triumph is now sailing do not change time as the ports are all in the central time zone.
