Freeport for the First Time

Hi, I will be going to Freeport for the first time in November. Is there anything special to see/do there? Any great places to eat lunch?

 

I have been to Nassau so many times I think I could find my around with my eyes closed so I am no stranger to the Bahamas.

The wife and I were in Freeport for Thanksgiving of 2010, and was not impressed at all. Great day at the beach (when is that ever bad?), but you can forget about any good restaurants or shopping. Freeport was hit hard by a hurricane in 2006(ish?) and still hasn't seem to have bounced back. It reminded me a lot of the poorer sections of New Orleans that were wiped out after Katrina and still hadn't come back.
