First time to san juan

This will be our first trip to san juan, we are cruising on the Nieuw Amsterdam, Holland America. Does the ship go to the pier in old san Juan? I know there are two cruise ports. Also, we are there for about 8 hours, what would be a great restaurant in old san juan for a local dinner? Thanks.

Yes, the ship docks right in OSJ.

 

There are a number of great places right along Recinto Sur (just a few blocks from the ship) or Fortaleza ST (just a few more blocks up).
