Capricruiser Posted December 2, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2011 One of the Livorno excursions is a two hour bus transfer to Florence and after a few hours free time, back to the ship. Excursion LEG02: €56 for adults, €39 for children. You can see all the Florence excursions on the MSC website under "Excursions" (entering Mediterranean and port of Livorno). Invincible Posted December 4, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 4, 2011 We were in Livorno last year, if you go into any tobacconists shop they can sell you tickets for the bus to the railway station (about a mile away) and return tickets to either Pisa or florence on the train for a fraction of the cost of an excursion, more fun and more satisfying if you know what you want to see, just remember to validate your tickets on the bus and at the station in the little machines. You will have to pay for a bus to shuttle you out of the port as it's a big commercial port
