Galveston Hilton Resort?

Never been to Galveston. Will arrive on March 31 for a cruise the next day. Got the Hilton resort for $108 plus tax. Seems like a decent hotel. Are there good dining, entertainment options within walking distance? Please discuss.

The hotel is right next to the San Luis resort. My room there was overlooking a Rainforest Cafe, and there is a Landry's and an IHOP in walking distance. The Kroger is also walkable, for sodas and wine.

And that is a great price!

Keep checking your rates! By checking the corp website every week or so, I have rebooked my reservation 3 times. The result was a $200 reduction in my overall estimated cost for a two day stay. You can change/update your reservation up to two days prior to your scheduled arrival date. However, this does not work if you did the "pay in advance option".
